As with all projects there are challenges and obstacles to overcome. This church was no exception. This development started with a long awaited renovation and addition to the church. Hytek Systems was challenged with creating a stealthy highly intelligible cost effective solution for the spoken word.
As with any endeavor, the budget played a vital part in selecting a line array system. The Community Entasys 3-way was a perfect fit for the aesthetics and reverberating acoustics. Sub-woofers and monitors were also added which brought the sound system to the next level. Bill Harper, pastoral associate, requested a second system to aid the choir nave area. A 12 channel mixer with two monitors tied to the main auto mix system was installed to provide a more hands on control and ultimate flexibility. Audio Technica wireless ambo and wireless podium microphones with remote paddle antennas provides a solution to allow for future flexibility of the microphone locations.
Ease of operation for Monsignor Thomas Flach and staff was another factor. Key operated exterior controls for system power and volume, as well as being simple to operate, also allowing for limited accessibility to prevent “Too many hands in the cookie jar”.
Overall the finished project is a fabulous solution meeting the needs of the church today and in the future. Using the Community Entasys 3-way line array speakers, Hytek Systems kept it simple with elegance and versatility. Hytek Systems was able to provide a cost effective solution to this reverberating church by installing 3-Way line array speakers along with monitors and sub-woofers bringing this church’s sound system to the next level while maintaining the elegant aesthetics of this house of worship.
